Something to Think About

If you look to the left you will see the book I recently added to my collection. The Help is one of those books you cannot put down. Today I saw the movie and have to say it was amazing. My stomach actually clinched in the same places it did while reading the book. I promise, I am not starting a book club here. I am after all a quilter!!! however, I would love to hear from those of you who also read this book, and what your feelings are. It took my breath away.

Oh, my goodness.....I sobbed my way through much of both the book and the movie of The Help. So many scenes and passages that will never leave my mind. I'm so glad to hear you loved it also, and that you feel as strongly about it! Happy late Thanksgiving....hope you all have a wonderful day!

I loved both the book and the movie. Growing up in Canada I had no idea that this took place so it was very eye opening. And it helped my understanding of Atlanta GA where I now live. One of the best books I've read in a long time!!

I saw the movie first. I love it, loved the acting, the reality of the movie shocked me, although I had knowledge of it in books and newspapers, but seeing it on the big screen with such great acting. The book, of course was more detailed than the movie. For everyone who has seen the movie but haven't read the book, the book is a must read. Nadine take care of yourself. Love, you and miss you. I loved the book. I loved the movie. I had a very difficult time coming to terms with the fact that people have been so poorly treated in my lifetime.

hope all is good.
