The Applique Academy

I February , 2009 I will be teaching for the fifth year at the Applique Academy in Williamsburg, VA. I hope you will join me or any of the teachers in this wonderful venue. An atmosphere of support surrounds both student and instructor. We will stay and take or present instruction in The Williamsburg Hospitality House, two blocks from Colonial Williamsburg and across the street from the College of Williamsburg and Mary. It gets no better.
This is " Friendship's Keepsake". This is included in my workshop offerings for The Applique Academy which takes place February 10- 16, 2009. This is the my two day "add a day class". I almost want to call it " Vase With an Attitude!" because the placement of the handles indicate a short fuse!

"My Roses For You" is an eight inch square which offers technique in ruching, ultra suede applique, folded roses and more. This is a one day workshop.

Finally, my four day main conference class, called "And Then There Were Flowers" This is a wonderfully enjoyable design to create, expressive of all that I love about Baltimore applique'. Mine is not a from scratch creation but inspired by designs from vintage quilts.I hope to see some of you in Williamsburg, but if not I hope you enjoy my work and thank you for dropping by. Nadine
